I recently came across Tim Drake and his boyfriend Bernard Dowd again! Which I recently realized is called "timbern" and not "timber" like it was initially pitched in the fandom 2-3 years ago. (Funny how I never bothered to check if it had a different name)

I love Tim and Bernard a whole lot. Heck, they're one of, if not my most, favourite couple so far in DC's canon or non-canon romantic duos!

But I also understand the sentiments people have regarding timkon (one of Tim's other mlm ship from before timbern became a thing). It's understandable that you get a YAY reaction for tim being bi or non-hetero, but an NOO to Tim not being with the guy you shipped him with. Valid opinions, and both can co-exist.

It's understandable that not everyone can or is willing to multi-ship or even resort to poly ships. I understand that there's that possibility! And I respect your choice to do so, truly!

But personally, I find this to be a nice solution! They're characters. They're not meant to be taken too seriously. If you have a personal bond with them, or kin them, or they're your comfort character and you find it difficult to see them with someone else: that's okay! It's okay and valid to be sad or mad or smad in some way or another because of the events that happen to said character. But just know someone, somewhere out there, is having the time of their life shipping various characters with that single nerd/ass/beauty/mess of a character you know and love !

Have at thee folks! "X has two hands" and more limbs for a reason! The world is your oyster!

(Unless that oyster includes anything actually directly horrible like racism, homophobia, transphobia, and the like. Then stop that. I'm serious.)
