O mercado financeiro aumentou as projeções de crescimento da economia e da inflação este ano.
Mercado eleva projeção de inflação e de crescimento econômico - A previsão de instituições financeiras para a inflação, calculada pelo Índice Nacional de Preços ao Consumidor Amplo (IPCA), subiu de 3,33% para 3,46%, no terceiro ajuste consecutivo. Para os anos seguintes não houve alterações: 3,60%, em 2020, 3,75% em 2021, e 3,50% em 2022. As estimativas estão reunidas em pesquisa feita com instituições financeiras, elaborada semanalmente pelo Banco Central (BC). Os resultados são divulgados às segundas-feiras. As projeções para 2019 e 2020 estão abaixo do centro da meta de inflação que deve ser perseguida pelo BC. A meta de inflação, definida pelo Conselho Monetário Nacional, é 4,25% em 2019, 4% em 2020, 3,75% em 2021 e 3,50% em 2022, com intervalo de tolerância de 1,5 ponto percentual para cima ou para baixo.
Taxa Selic
Com a previsão de inflação um pouco maior neste ano, o mercado financeiro voltou a esperar que a taxa básica de juros, a Selic, encerre 2020 em 4,5% ao ano. Na semana passada, a expectativa tinha caído para 4,25% ao ano. Atualmente, a Selic está em 5% ao ano. As instituições financeiras esperam que a Selic volte a cair 0,5 ponto percentual para 4,5% ao ano, em dezembro. Para o fim de 2022, a previsão é 6,50% ao ano. A Selic é o principal instrumento usado pelo BC para controlar a inflação. Quando o Comitê de Política Monetária (Copom) do BC reduz a Selic, a tendência é que o crédito fique mais barato, com incentivo à produção e ao consumo, reduzindo o controle da inflação e estimulando a atividade econômica. Crescimento econômico O mercado financeiro espera maior crescimento da economia neste ano e em 2020. A estimativa de expansão do Produto Interno Bruto (PIB), a soma de todos os bens e serviços produzidos no país, subiu de 0,92% para 0,99% este ano. Para 2020, a projeção subiu de 2,17% para 2,20%. Já a expectativa para 2021 2022 permanece em 2,50%. Dólar A previsão para a cotação do dólar subiu de R$ 4 para R$ 4,10, no fim de 2019, e permanece em R$ 4 ao final de 2020.
