The art in this suits the pulpy, rompy story really well. In love with some of the wide shots of the compound. Enjoyed the story! It isn’t rolling out how I expected which is great

Caught up on some stuff I had half finished today. Orphan Age has an interesting concept and well executed, I hope they do another volume. Folklords looks FANTASTIC and the story is interesting, though not what I expected. Everything probably I should have reread the first two first but still very intrigued by the story so far, again I hope they do more. White Trees was fab, as was Stillwater, I love my boy Zdarsky. I hope they do more in the White Trees world, and I look forward to the rest of Stillwater. The art is fucking slick in both of those too. I’m glad I didn’t get the whole series of b.b. free because #1 didn’t really grab me at all. Blackbird has great art, exactly what you’d expect from Jen Bartel, but a really REALLY mediocre story. SnapFlashHustle was good but they fucking shafted me by never releasing the last issue as a single and it wasn’t good enough to warrant buying the trade to get the last issue and doubling up on the whole series.

These may be very different but both hella good
