"Take Me to Church" by Hozier. I'm not gonna even bother to link this one bc I'm sure we've all heard it. Personally, I'm surprised it's higher than "Angel of Small Death and the Codeine Scene", but my writing determines what I listen to a lot, and this year's writing has been a more "Take Me to Church" flavored.

"Poet" by Bastille. I love this song, but I literally don't remember listening to it at all this year. In fact, I forgot it existed. But it's been a long year.

"Mississippi Delta" by The Civil Wars & T Bone Burnett. Ah, geez, I don't remember this one specifically, but it must've been one of the songs that fucked up my Discover Weekly recently because it sounds exactly like what I've been getting for the past month.

“Paris” by Caro Emerald. I listen to a lot of electroswing, and I’m not the biggest fan of Caro Emerald, but I’ve grown quite fond of this one specifically.

“Dishonored 2 Main Theme” by Daniel Licht. This is one of my favorite pieces off this soundtrack, and it’s one of my favorite video game themes recently. Licht died in August 2017, so I’ve spent a lot of time listening to this since then, especially in the first half of the year, and it’s one of the pieces I start with when I get in the mood to listen to the video game music.
