what brought this about. was kaine that good?
Market suggestion: perhaps have the "all time" graphs for winning party/Republican nominee start on the dates those options were made available so they aren't squished to the right?
Yeah, I know. The initial idea was that one could click around on all the graphs for different candidates and basically always get the same time frame for better comparability.
I’m currently working on a more responsive design btw and I’m pretty sure that all new version (coming soon! hopefully ...) will address all the problems with the strict framing of the current graphs.
Stay tuned because what else am I going to do during winter break anyway.
Procrastinating on my paper let me fix the primaries issue, so there you go. New contracts for the Republican primaries should now immediately turn up there.

So, republican primary outcomes just got put on the 2016market -- casting the graphs into a rather messy state with lots of black lines.
I know… first I was like waaah what happened there and then I was like ohhhh. But I got a paper to write this weekend, so don’t be alarmed if it takes a little longer to fix/add those as a new distinct group of contracts.

The graphs are now available via HTTPS with certificates provided by the currently running beta of letsencrypt.org. The certificates should be trusted by all major browsers. HTTP requests will be forwarded to the secure connection, but if anybody got problems, let me know and I will go back to dual-stack for the time being.
I know for a fact that Rubio has been fluctuating wildly, but your graphs continue to show him completely flat. In fact, it looks like the whole thing hasn't updated in at least a couple days?
Data collection was still running smoothly, but I updated R on Wednesday and there was some kind of library mixup so it stopped before regenerating the graphs and I didn’t notice. Should be working again now! Thanks for the bug report. :)
Re your prediction market graph: Perhaps it would be easier to read if "Democratic", "Republican", and "Third Party" weren't all the same color?
It would. Those were added while I was asleep and default color for new candidates is black (new candidates are added automatically as soon as they are traded) ;).
I’ve removed the parties from the main graph and added a whole new subset of party graphs colored in the traditional blue/red dichotomy.
(This is more of a hotfix right now because I gotta go get some groceries now and have some repair work to do at my house, so please send me any bugs and I will look at them in the evening.)
