#2016 release

I can’t believe it’s been over a year since my ears have been blessed with listening to Glory for the first time. It’s such a shame that only two singles were released - Make Me... and Slumber Party - because so many other tracks on the album could’ve been awesome picks for a third. And one of them is the soft Just Luv Me.

I love Just Luv Me because it sounds so authentically like Britney. It shows off her sweet, breathy vocals, which complements the vulnerability of the song. And it’s really relatable: she doesn’t need to depend on anyone to stand on her own two feet; she just wants something simple, and that is to be loved.

There are moments in your life - moments in the past, moments in the present, moments in the future - that life gets heavy. Delta Goodrem sings about this topic on her song Heavy, which is on her Wings of the Wild album. 

I love this song because it’s so honest and raw and it’s one of the songs I most relate with. I have such a deep connection with it, and it has the ability to make me feel the weight of emotion. 

The second part of the chorus when she sings about people calling her lucky because she has the world in her hands recalls the Britney Spears’ classic, Lucky. 

Perfect Pairing is a book you should read with plenty of great food at hand. No matter what time of day I return to this story or even if I just ate, I always find myself super hungry (even if the sandwich being made is not my jam). At least it’s delicious torture. Can I avoid the temptation of employing a good many food puns in this review? Probably not and I probably won’t try to hard to avoid…
