Argh! Avast thar mates! Time to up anchor ⚓️ in my all time favorite Thomas special ever: Sodor’s Legend of the Lost Treasure. Thomas has always been cheeky; but this time his jokes land him in hot water with Sir Topham Hatt. As a result he is sent to work on a new branch line in disgrace. Even though he’s trying to atone for his mischief, it keeps getting him in more trouble. However, thanks to him, Rocky discovers a hidden pirate 🏴☠️ ship located at the bottom of a pit. Later on, Marion strikes it rich when she finds a lost pirate’s treasure💰💎!
To think, she made a wish on Mike the miniature-gauge engine. I think they can all agree that Marion is definitely a nutter! To make matters worse for Thomas, he inadvertently aids a modern-day pirate in plundering Marion’s treasure right from Sir Topham Hart’s office. This gives way to a high-speed chase resulting Ryan the new engine apprehending the pirate and his railboat Skiff.
In the end, Thomas has earned his way back into his controller’s good graces. Soon enough, the new branchline is opened and everyone takes part in the celebration. I loved the special because it combined my two favorite things: trains 🚂 and pirates 🏴☠️! Can it get more awesome than that? Not only that, But this movie brought back a lot of favorite characters that were nearly forgotten by time. That and the celebrity voice actors were truly phenomenal.
Now you can see why I love this movie so much. I loved watching this back when I was in college. Reminds me of my secondary glory days in intellectual nirvana. Well, I better hoist the mainsail and shove off for home. Thank you for joining me in reliving an instant classic.
