Here’s to the 12-hour rehearsal days out in the summer heat in the good ol’ USA. Here’s to countless repetition, here’s to that damn metronome, here’s to rehearsing so much that you literally HAVE DREAMS OF REHEARSAL (YES I have literally marched in my sleep during everydays - I have witnesses - Mr. Matt McCarthy in the house??? Hahaha)...Here’s to those long bus rides from city to city, the funny tan-lines, the nonstop sweat, the nonstop soreness of one’s muscles, the nonstop striving for perfection (while catching Excellence), to the moms & dads who volunteer and go out and cheer for their kids or their corps.. here’s to the alumni - to the corps that folded up long ago before this year-off hiatus... here’s to the educators who are just as passionate about teaching as the members are for performing. Here’s to the future of the marching arts - to all of the people who are so hungry to get on that field & give it everything they’ve got (and paying almost everything they’ve got to do so). Keep that dream alive. Keep striving.💖🤝🙂
