It's the end of the 2010's decade. In this week's #MasteringTheCraft I'll be looking at some of the things that have happened in my life. This week's #MtC is called "A Decade Remembered"

For my work, I was tasked in combing through ten years’ worth of Starke County Leaders to find highlights from the last decade. It’s only natural, while making your way through almost 500 editions of a newspaper, that I began to think about the highlights from my own life.

Dictionary.com defines highlight as “an important, conspicuous, memorable, or enjoyable event, scene, part, or the like.”

I thought I would end the decade by sharing my favorites from the last 10 years. I think a lot of amazing music has come out, including soundtracks and I wanted to share with ya’ll. Most include indie, folk, and electronica favorites as well as sountracks from Star Wars, Stranger Things, and Good Omens.

So apparently, it’s the end of the decade and that means “best of the decade” kind of lists. While I really don’t feel like I can pull off a list of like, my 10 favorite movies of the decade - that would imply remembering on the spot hundreds of movies! - I think I can do a decent list of my favorite TV shows of the decade. So here we go, in no particular order:

- White Collar

- Person of Interest

- Sherlock

- The Americans

- The Good Wife

- Counterpart

- Orange is the New Black

- Dix Pour Cent (Call My Agent) (France)

- Real Humans (Sweden)

- Master of None

+ The Good Place, Castle, Good Omens, Doom Patrol, Westworld, Occupied, Berlin 56, Deutschland 83, Les Petits Meurtres d’Agatha Christie, Fargo, Better Things, Atypical, and probably a few more that I can’t recall right now.

Note: I decided not to include In Treatment because it ended in 2010, so it’s barely of this decade. But it would totally be in my top 10 of all times.
