Little Britain (2003-2006), Abroad (2006) and USA (2008)
A comedy sketch show exaggerating British stereotypes.
 This series created a number of funny and replicable characters which are made believable by the quality of the acting and the costumes which add a great deal of variety to the different sketches. The catchphrases are also easy to mimic and the sketches are often changed or even reversed in some cases so that it’s not just the same jokes being repeated.
 Occasionally, like with the novelist, the jokes are recycled somewhat without creating enough difference so a few of the sketches fall flat. Fortunately, the good thing about a sketch show is that even if you don’t like a particular character or joke, it doesn’t last long and will soon be replaced by something quite different. Occasionally it has been suggested that some characters are inappropriate or even offensive because of their views but the way I read the show is that they are demonstrating how ridiculous racist/homophobic/sexist/etc people are.
 The inclusion of Tom Baker as the narrator was a great choice because it’s a delight to hear him say almost anything, especially some of the ridiculous things that he does say during the show which are often quite contradictory, obviously untrue, or just plain silly. Anthony Head was also a good element in the Prime Minister sketches because his seriousness is a good contrast to the comedy acting. He doesn’t appear in the USA version and the sketch doesn’t work as well.
 There were a lot of particularly good characters in the early seasons which didn’t make it into later ones which was a shame. For example the Scottish hotel owner was one of my favourites but he doesn’t recur very much. Also in the case of bubbles they go on to make a second character just like her and then later get rid of her which felt like the comedy was going backwards somewhat.
 7/10 -Well above average, but no masterpiece-
 -When considering spin-off for the show, the main contenders were Lou and Andy with their own series, Marjorie Dawes doing her own sit-com and the Prime Minister and Sebastian in a special episode.
-Many names and places in the series are named after real people, such as Sandi Toksvig, Matthew Waterhouse, and Myfanwy.
-In one Sketch Andy is called Davros by some youths. Davros was a character introduced to a Doctor Who (1963-Present) episode which featured Tom Baker who is the narrator for this series.
