...it's gonna get better but it never does
So there's this chick, Elizabeth Grace, and I found out about her because she did a REALLY GOOD cover of The Used's The Bird and the Worm. Â I've been following her since then and she's release a aingle and an EP as well as a bunch of other youtube covers. Â It looks like she's decided to stop doing covers in favor of making more music and playing more shows etc.
Last year sometime she has auditions for her backing band, Wormwood City. Â I was really considering sending in and then I backed out because I didn't want to waste anyone's time because I'm not really a very good musician.
Well now she's holding a second round of auditions - it sounds like she just didn't find the right people last time. Â But I'm still not a very good musician. Â And I don't know if that's really something I want to do. I mean it does kind of look liek it's in a different direction from where my brain is going.
But am I really going anywhere? Â Wouldn't that just let me practice more and be surrounded by music, which is what I really want anyway. Â It's got to be better than working in a warehouse all day being too exhausted to do anything else and hoping something happens? Â But I don't really know anything about reading music or anything like that. Â And I'm really rusty. Â And I've never really played with a band before. Â And it's been YEARS since I played with anyone else.
But I've got until April 1st to make up my mind.
