2:09am—
i envy the hours of twilight as much as i crave their arrival. i stop, and i stare, and i yearn for the the moment that i’d get to look up at all those beautiful little extraordinaries littered in the darkness. with the beautiful, glorious, larger-than-life you at my side.
i envy my mind for being vacant of reality. for the unwelcome always being present—as if they’re asserting their eternal stay with a startling proclamation and a raise of a brazen hand.
the sky. the little extraordinaries that debut while you’re not looking envy you the most, and you don’t even have a clue. they look at you, they stop, they stare, and they yearn for what you have. what you offer. and what they don’t.
the night sky is envious of you and i am envious of the night sky. the moments where the light is abstained is where i begin to feel comforted—because i can never allow my obscure feelings to find you, the you that shines the brightest despite living in such unrelenting darkness.
you are so perfect. so ravishing and alluring. that it scares me. to the point where i cannot even be envious. not even if i wanted to.
because i will always know. i will always remember that i cannot be envious of something that i can never reach. never begin to see or begin to experience.
i envy you because i love you. and like the hours of twilight, the indefatigable presence of twilight, i could never get myself to stop loving you even if i tried.
