they make me SICK every time I think about them i realize that stanley whitnessed mcgucket going insane very rapidly, how he felt started loosing the only person who could help him and understand, he basically was left all alone with the entire situation on his shoulders

and when he finds out that fiddleford used the memory gun.... imagine the hurt he felt about fiddleford just erasing all of their memories together, to the point that stan himself just blasts the entire thing out of his mind

sonic team reach a peaceful agreement with eggman, finally able to rest for awhile until a new villain comes. just as they were setting up another calm(-ish) adventure for themselves, they get approached by one of the egg-creations, which of course, activates their fight-or-flight. but instead of fighting and taunting them, the robot gives them all... wedding invitations? (with an awfully adorable drawing of stone and robotnik on each of them)

they of course decide to attend, 100% convinced that the whole thing is another clever scheme by eggman and stone, amd spend the whole wedding trying to unravel what is going on and also not let the couple know that they "found them out"
