Symbol: Train Crash
I found this image of a painting interesting because it is of a train, and I have always had an interest in trains since I was little. The painting is very impressionistic. It also shows the industry and technology of the time. I wanted to show the industry and power of the 19th century. I wanted to show it by painting an old fashioned train. The steam engine is one of the main symbols of the industrial revolution technology. When I was looking for pictures of trains, I also found a picture of a train crash. Therefore I decided to do a train crash as a symbol. If the train symbolizes power and progress then the train crash could symbolize the fault and the short-coming of technology.
