Perpetrator: Erik Hugo Ahlfors Jackson (Hugo Jackson)
Age at the time: 15 (May 12th, 2006)

Day of the Attack: August 19th, 2021
Weapons: two airsoft guns and 4 knives
Motive: Desire for Noteriety/Influence from the Christchurch Mosque shooting/ Suicide/ depression
Punishment: 2.6 years in juvenile detention
Charges: Grossly unlawful threats, attempted murder, aggravated battery
Erik Hugo Ahlfors Jackson was born on May 12th, 2006 in Eslöv, Sweden. He is Sri-Lankian and Colombian. He has two parents and a sister. As a child, he made friends with a boy by the name of Laaiti Ekenstéen on roblox. The two remained friends despite the fact they weren't really allowed to be together due to the fact Hugo was not liked by Laaiti's mother. Hugo and Laaiti began to look into white supremacy, nazism, and shootings. Laaiti was the main influence of Hugo getting into these ideologies. Hugo often spoke highly of Brenton Tarrant who was the Christchurch Mosque shooter who live streamed his shooting. Hugo was on his computer all the time. He liked graffiti and his father was a knife collector, which led to him having rare knives in the house. His walls had anti semitic symbols drawn on them. His desk had similar drawings and he had written “Fuck Eslöv” on it. He played airsoft, meaning he kept the airsoft guns and gear in the house that would later aid in his attack. Hugo and Laaiti stayed friends but the year of the Eslöv stabbing, they hung out in person. They drank vodka and Hugo had brought his airsoft guns and a confederate flag over. They took photos with and of the weapons and flag. They were sent to a group chat and Laaiti's mother saw it on his computer. Hugo told people within the chat that they were real, but they were actually airsoft. Laaiti could now only use the computer in the kitchen with his mother being able to see him. He got his computer back a few months later, so he resumed contact with Hugo. Some claim a classmate reported Hugo to the police due to the photos being sent in a class chat, but they did not attend the same school. He could have been reported by a friend, since that happened often, but some claim it was Laaiti's mother. Hugo was often reported to police for his behaviors or threatening comments online.

“The triggering factor was a picture that the 16-year-old, the 15-year-old in Eslöv and another young boy had posted in the 16-year-old's class chat. The picture showed a number of soft-air guns and several knives laid out on a Confederate flag. When asked by a classmate, the boys replied that they were "real weapons". As a result, the 16-year-old was reported to the social services.
When the 16-year-old's mother goes through her son's computer, she sees several conversations, including with the 15-year-old in Eslöv and an unknown username in Germany. She forbids her son from having contact with the 15-year-old and takes his computer. He is also no longer allowed to sit alone in his room and surf the web, but only to sit with the computer in the kitchen when his mother could be there.
But the 16-year-old and his friend in Eslöv get around this by changing their username. The 16-year-old can still use his school computer and phone to maintain his online contacts.
“Easy to find each other””
Hugo showed warning signs that were avoided. He wore a nazi armband to school, he sent photos of knives to others, and his friends reported him to authorities, yet nothing was ever done about it.
Hugo spent around 3 thousand krona on his gear. This included the camera he did not end up using during his attack. He filmed with his phone. This camera was still tested by Hugo in a video that shows him turn the camera towards himself while listening to a song playing in the video of the Christchurch Mosque shooting. He made notes on classes with LGBTQ students and Muslim students. He also made a detailed post on discord that described his plan and was visited by police. Hugo claimed it was a joke.
The night before, Hugo smoked cigarettes, wrote his manifesto, listened to music, and cried. He told his father he had to go to school early.
The Attack:
On August 19th, 2021, It was the second day of school at the Källebergsskolan. Hugo attended this school. At the beginning of this day, he packed his weapons into a gym bag and went into the Källebergsskolan, where he changed into Black nike shoes with a white logo, black trousers, a black hoodie with two swedish flags on it, a vest with a swedish flag on it, skeleton gloves, a skeleton mask, dog tags, and a helmet with a camera mount on it. He wore this over a pair of gray jeans and a camo shirt. On his skeleton gloves and mask, there were slurs, phrases, and swastikas written/drawn with blue pen. He then went outside to the football field and began his livestream that would last 25 minutes and 36 seconds. Hugo speaks to the camera, allegedly saying:
“fucking music . Hello, I must have some music. Remember lads, subscribe to Pewdiepie. Ah scheiße. Alright, I should be fine.”
subscribe to pewdiepie was in reference to the Christchurch Mosque shooting in march or 2019.
He then plays a song titled Tata by Baja Mali Knindza.
He gears up around 2:15 into the stream. He puts an orange knife on the left side of his vest, on the right there is a small black bag.
3:07 the song changes to Power Level by Mr Bond. This song was played during the Halle Synagogue shooting in October of 2019. He paces infront of the camera and says “fuck man”.
4:07 he flashes a thumbs up to the camera while kneeling. He then picks up the camera and attaches it to his head. You can see his bag and a jacket. He looks around, then you see his knife he is holding.
5:28 the song changes to Grün Ist Unser Fallschirm, which played in the stream of the Christchurch Mosque shooting. He then makes his way to the stairs.
6:43 he walks and you get a glimpse of the airsoft gun in his left hand and the knife in his right hand.
6:58 he goes up the stairs after saying “ah, scheiße” he looks around at the bridge and then goes to the school.
8:11 he entered the school in the cafeteria. People are there.
8:16 Hugo sees a student who he passes but they say something to him
8:19 Hugo approached a teacher, Niklas, who told him “Eh, you have the full uniform here”. He then is attacked by Hugo and he was stabbed in the stomach. A woman and a group of students stare
8:28 calls for help are made by niklas. who is on the floor.
8:38 staff come into the cafeteria a student shouts “whats going on?” and another shouts “im calling the fucking police”
8:45 Hugo kicks a now closed door. A student yells “I'm calling the police” to which hugo says “go for it, come on” since his plan was to commit suicide by cop. A teacher approached him and a student yells “back off, back the fuck off”
8:51 a female teacher, Helen, approached and said “what are you doing?” Hugo says “fuck off”. she says it again and Hugo says “fuck off” three times. Hugo turns around and says “she is a good teacher”. a man approached Niklas, who was being helped by a female teacher.
9:04 “call an ambulance” is said and the female teacher leaves Niklas on the floor alone.
9:17 “Call an ambulance, call an ambulance” is spoken and Hugo laughs. He moves around the cafeteria and he approaches Niklas.
Hugo: Damn you are not bleeding.
Niklas: Well inside, I keep the pressure.
Hugo laughed.
Hugo: Damn, what fucking fun. How does it feel? Damn, I can see your guts from here. Damn, how disgusting. Damn, the cops, when are you coming?
9:36 he walks around the cafeteria and the song finally changes. Blood on the Risers by U.S. Paratroopers also known as Gory, Gory What a Hell of a Way to Die. It is a World War 2 song. He approaches a glass bulletin board and you can see his reflection. you can see that he is filming with his phone, not the camera he was meant to use.
At 11:00 he points an airsoft gun at a teacher.
11:07 he waves a knife at his favorite teacher, who had recognized him, which caused her to back off.
11:18 he approaches the exit but then begins to kick things and throws a plant pot and laughs. He stabs a large hand sanitizer bottle.
12:55 Hugo says “Damn how long it takes for the police to come, don't you think?” he then lies on the floor by a couch.
13:01 Hugo goes up the bulletin board again.
Hugo: damn, the second school day and i have already fucking killed a teacher.
He pulls down things from the bulletin board and then walks around, singing the song. “And he aint gonna jump no more”. He broke an orchid pot and other things. He pulled the fire alarm.
14:16 he grabs his airsoft gun and points it at a teacher down a hallway. The teacher goes back to his classroom.
14:36 Hugo walks outside and sees students attempting to leave the school through windows, then he points his gun at them to scare them.
15:13 Hugo shouts Hello, Go there! He then approaches a student.
Hugo: are you going to be fucking annoying?
Student: What?
Hugo: Fuck off.
the boy leaves.
15:25 students attempt to walk out through the front door of the school. Hugo aims at them.
Hugo: fuck off!
the students go back inside. He allegedly made a girl cry. He walks away and then waves his gun at the students climbing back inside through the windows.
Hugo: See you in hell!
the music stops.
15:48 Hugo begins to walk back to the sports field. a policeman orders him to lay down. Hugo aims at the police. again he is told to lay down. the policeman yells “Lie down, I will shoot!” Then a warning shot is fired at Hugo. He is again yelled at multiple times to lay down.
16:20 Don't Stop Me Now by Queen begins to play. This song would later be played during the Kristianstad stabbing that his friend Laaiti Ekenstéen would be the perpetrator for. The policeman would call for help over his radio. Hugo messes with his gun.
Hugo: Shoot me or I will shoot you!
The officer continues to beg Hugo to drop his weapon and lay down. More police arrive and Hugo eventually lays down and is handcuffed and arrested. They id him and hugo tells them about his suicidal thoughts.

Hugo denies attempted murder, but admits to aggravated assault. His lawyer was named Leif Persson. He claimed Hugo did not intend to kill anyone. Hugo claims he acted under psychosis. During an examination, it was deemed to be untrue. He was sentenced to 2 years and 6 months in closed youth care. He was ordered to pay 480,000 SEK or 52,582 United States dollars. During the investigation, he apologized to his family. He was sorry he turned out the way he did and claimed that he regretted doing it.

Attempted murder
While in closed youth care, he often drew pornographic images and Christchurch related images. He also would text and call Laaiti Ekenstéen. He was allowed to use an Ipad for an hour a day and was able to have one phone call a day. They had around 11 hours of contact total. He also celebrated mass shootings. He got his internet access restricted later on due to his behavior.
He has not changed much since the event.
