#19000 post

And here I am watching season 6 of Supernatural and lazily doing my summer assignment a couple nights before school starts. I have a tray with my dinner on it– a bowl of chips, a cup of grapes, a glass formerly containing milk, and a plate which used to host a grilled chicken wrap and currently carrying shreds of tomato and pesto sauce. There’s a apple soda can resting on my windowsill and when I look ahead of me I see my neighbor’s porch light glaring at me in contrast to the deep darkness. I hear crickets and what I suspect are bats, because it’s far too late for birds to be hanging about. The freeway hums quietly in the back of my mind and I can faintly hear the TV on downstairs mixing with the echo of my mother warning me not to go to bed too late tonight. The blinding white face of my summer assignment stares dejectedly up at me and I fix my weary gaze back on it. It’s due in less than three days and I’ve still 18 questions to answer. Procrastination for the win, I guess. But here’s an accomplishment: 19,000 posts! Or maybe it’s just a bigger failure….
