I LOVE YOU MORE AND MORE EVERY DAY.
Today was my OU code of conduct situation. I lied to everyone all morning. But I came clean about what I did, and even though you were SO hurt, pissed, mad, angry, upset, and frustrated with me, you showed me NOTHING but love. You forgave me without thinking twice. You reminded me of your never ending and never changing love. You reminded me that we are forever and ever and that even though I really messed up this time, you weren’t ever going to leave me. You fought for and with me today. You amazed me with the way you handled everything and I couldn’t be more impressed with the man and husband you are.
Then you got thrown a curveball. Your teacher emailed your parents about sleeping in class and your 79% and the test that is coming up that she was worried you are going to fail. They flipped on you. They said you couldn't see me until you had a B, and for prom, you would just pick me up at my house on the way to pictures and drop me off at home right after the dance. It was so over the top. You handled it though. You were pissed, but you handled it. Later that night, your parents talked to you and your dad went off on you about how you’re going to be a failure and he called you so many names, and you begged your mom to make him stop because you were having an anxiety attack, but your dad just said you were making that up and that you’re pathetic. And your mom looked at you with that look like she knew that you couldn’t take anymore but then told you not to talk and to listen to your dad. You were so hurt. You left to go on a run and called me and when I saw my phone, I dropped everything and called you back to comfort you and talk and listen and help. I wanted SO BADLY to come drive to you but you and my parents wouldn't let me leave. I talked to you until you were finally ready to go back inside and figure everything out. Ultimately, you took the high road and accepted your punishment, and they compromised with you. It was still tough.
Today was nothing short of a reminder and reassurance that we are meant for each other and nothing can break us. We both hit very low points today, but we stood by each other, fought for each other, and desperately and wholly loved each other. I’ll never forget what happened today...not because of all of the bad stuff, but because of all of the good that shined through our hearts. I can’t believe I get to spend forever with you. God truly gave me the best gift. 181 days! I love you forever.
