I am emotionally ruined
I just spent the last 5 hours reading '180 seconds'. I initially read the blurb as a lighthearted girl-meets-boy, boy-fixes-trauma. And while there is a smidge of that, it goes so. Much. Deeper.
I have been ugly sobbing and snotty for the last hour with her writing and the story.
There aren't really any huge trigger warnings but she touches on really deep things, so huge kudos to Jessica Park. One instant really threw me back into a memory (of someone dying) but I can honestly say I feel drained but released.
BOOKS I READ IN 2018: 180 Seconds, Jessica Park
“You can’t reach what’s in front of you until you let go of what’s behind you.”
“Just because that’s where you’ve been doesn’t mean you have to stay there if you don’t want to.”

Currently reading 180 Seconds by Jessica Park, and it sure is amazing!

I’m loving these colors together – they’re so calming and are just so beautiful😍
📚Do you consider yourself a fast or slow reader?
I’d consider myself somewhere in between, honestly. If I have a lot of time to read and if the book is really attention-grabbing, I’ll zip right through it. But if I don’t have as much time to read (like lately), I’ll take my time. I’ve definitely zipped through books before and regretted it afterward because I felt like I didn’t get to experience it enough, so sometimes it’s nice to take your time and really feel your way through it😊
Happy Saturday, friends! I hope your weekend is off to a good start!🤗
