Review: If you can't tell, I've been on a kick of reading DesertC's fics recently. I really love the way they write these two characters. Overall I enjoyed this read, however there are a few plot mysteries introduced throughout that aren't addressed until the very last chapters and it feels very rushed. I wish they would've taken a bit more time to really flesh out these plot points and maybe hint at the answers throughout. Also, I personally wasn't a big fan of the twist. Hermione is more OC in this than I’m normally comfortable with, but I thought it really worked regardless of the twist. I honestly would’ve preferred that it didn’t exist, as it then paints Severus in a light that I also didn’t enjoy. The author writes these characters so wonderfully, so regardless of not liking the twist that much I still think it is definitely worth the read.
