A hand drawn, circular shaped birthday card made by John for Pattie Boyd’s 24th birthday. John made the card while the Beatles were staying in Rishikesh, India with the Maharishi, in March 1968. It says ‘HAPPY BIRTHDAY PATTIE from John and Cyn’ at the bottom. It’s hard to see, but the J and the C on the John and Cyn are written the wrong way around. Pattie kept the card since 1968, but recently put it up for auction. It’s expected to fetch £12000.

The Eagle Collection - Manix by Carmona. Half his body looks like it is covered in the Biotronic stickers from 2000AD. From Eagle No. 104, dated 17 March 1984. Treasury of British Comics.
The Wizard No. 102 (22 January 1972) and 162 (17 March 1973). Either they had a lack of new ideas for free gifts at this point or they had ordered huge amounts of these. Probably a bit of both. Can't remember the same free gift being given away so soon after the last one though.
It probably reappeared many times after this as well. In September 1982 The Victor gave away the very similar looking Super Whizzo!
Great free gifts (including The Super Whizzo!) from September 1982 . Only in Victor. DC Thomson.
Wonder how it would have fared against the Space Spinner (2000AD, Eagle) or the Turbo Flyer (Tornado)?
DC Thomson.
