Day 176 | 10 days
When Vic Damone spotted Lana Turner in the audience during one of her trips to Las Vegas, he introduced her to the showgoers- who gave her a standing ovation. Damone then related how, in the 1940s, he was at the MGM lot and, seeing her walk across the street, became so taken with Lana's beauty that he drove his car into a wall. Taylor Pero, personal manager to Lana, was at that same event and summed up her "indisputable beauty" by saying: "If looks were benedictions, Lana would have been the most blessed creature on earth."
