Two weeks ago I visited the Crazy Horse memorial in South Dakota. My host and I decided to splurge on the bus ride closer to the sight and as we got on one of the other visitors asked when the memorial would be finished. The memorial, which will be a 563-foot-tall mountain carving that shows a mounted Crazy Horse with his arm extended, has been under construction for the last 70 years. The tour guide looked back at the person who asked the most common question asked from visitors, and casually replied, “On a Friday.” ................................. I’ve decided I’ll be using that from now on. It is nearly impossible to know where I’ll be in a few weeks, sometimes days. So no, I most definitely do not have a deadline to this road trip.
