Jack killed Mary... we knew that would happen and in fact I'm not even surprised. I'm never gonna hate that boy. I know he did something terrible but... it was an accident. he even tried to bring her back so it's not like he wanted her to be dead.

Dean... I didn't like Dean in this episode. I kinda understood him at first but then things escalated... I get it, your mom died but you don't have to blame everything on Cass. he "overreacted". I didn't want to use this word because something real bad happened to him but at the same time... you know what I mean

I appreciated how Sam acted during the whole episode. that's it nothing else to say

Cas fucked up, and while 'You're dead to me' is a bit too dramatic, I absolutely understand Dean.

I mean, don't get me wrong, I love Cas. But people (or angels, whatever) we love can do stupid shit too, we can't just ignore it. After watching the episode I tried to justify what he did in my head, like "oh, but it was so insignificant; I bet he didn't even think this snake business was something serious".

But the truth is, he did think it was serious — he was scared enough to go looking for God, even with no hope of getting an answer. So, if Cas knew that the situation was dangerous, why the hell didn't he say anything? Anything at all? What, he thought the Winchesters would try to stop him? No, obviously not. Was it the desire to make everything right before anyone notices? I just don't understand. Everyone talks about how Dean regressed to his older self with his words, but what about Cas? His regress is much more obvious. He kept another secret, big, life-threatening secret from his family. He knew Jack was dangerous, but he easily left his family alone with him with no warning at all? And Mary died in the end? I mean, if the boys knew what was going on, they wouldn't have left Mary and Jack alone, so all this would have been avoided.

So yeah, Cas does need to redeem himself. And Dean is not a selfish prick, he is a person who just lost his mom at the hands of his son because the other member of his family decided that keeping information is okay. And yes, maybe there were signs of Jack's instability. But mostly, we, the audience, were the ones who saw them. Everything significant happened without Sam and Dean, and all they knew was what Donatello told them: Jack is more or less fine. Besides that, they just didn't have any reason to start worrying and actually do something.
