[ilford B&W 100 ISO 120mm film taken with a Mamiya 6]
my home life is pretty simple.  and that’s the way i prefer it to be.  when my husband comes home from his 12-hour day at work, he puts time into his ‘67 ford thunderbird (or rather in this photo, works on parts inside our swamp-cooler-blown living room).  our daughter, rolls/plays/crawls on a blanket on the floor with her toys.  and i...i find every candid photo opportunity to capture with my new camera my husband got for me for my birthday, my first mother’s day and my graduation - a mamiya 6.
this camera is amazing.
i will, one day, get to the point where i will be taking photos with this camera so quickly that focusing (lining up 2 images together because it is a rangefinder), choice for aperture and shutter speed will be second nature.  i’m not quite there yet.  takes me quite a while to click that shutter release, but i’ll get there.
and until i do, i enjoy these afternoons everyday. Â
