This book is gorgeous both outside and inside. In addition to the beautiful cover design and art, the book is filled with magical retellings and amazing illustrations. One of my favorite reads of the year!

These books were so good! I kind of expected to enjoy them, but I didn’t think it would become a new favorite series. I’m a little upset I waited so long to read them, but better late than never!

To All the Boys I've Loved Before by Jenny Han
Is anyone surprised? The adaptation for this book was everything I wanted. In fact, it was so good it made me want to reread the book and I did just that right after I finished watching it.
Also, exciting news that was revealed today: Netflix is officially doing the sequel!! I cannot wait!!!!

In my case, three reads: The Red Pyramid, The Throne of Fire, and The Serpent’s Shadow all by Rick Riordan
I have had these books on my shelves for a while and it was a goal of mine in 2018 to finally read them (they were the only Rick Riordan books I hadn’t yet read). When I did finally get around to picking them up I was a little nervous, but ultimately I was not disappointed. They are fun and they taught me about something I was unfamiliar with in an exciting and digestible way!

The Cruel Prince by Holly Black
Toffee isn’t new to me, but it’s the first time I have ever tried to make it myself! It turned out pretty good, but there’s definitely room for improvement. I think it still tastes delicious though, even if the texture is a little off 😋

❄ Share your favorite reading-related memory.
My favorite reading-related memory for 2018 has to do with the fact that my boyfriend tried listening to audiobooks while at work back in March and has been reading ever since. Therefore, I have been able to share with him some of my favorite books and we have found something else that we have in common and that we can talk about.
He’s always liked reading, but thanks to audiobooks he can read a lot more. In fact, he’s had to ask me several times what to read next because he can get through 2-3 books in a week depending on the length.
It is just really nice having another person in my life with whom I can share my love of books. This picture shows just some of the books I have encouraged him to read (with the exception of The Martian which he told me to read) and that we have bonded over.
I expect that 2019 will be filled with many more books and many more discussions.

❄ What book would you recommend to your younger self?
Another Day by David Levithan
Seems a little odd since this is basically just Every Day from the girl’s perspective, but if I could have read her thoughts and feelings when I was younger it would have helped me a lot. Sometimes it’s just nice to know that what you are feeling is valid.
