The entire time I was wrapping presents my mom was telling me about how I don’t know as much as her and I shouldn’t date black people because when I get married it creates more black people and they’re bad. She said there are some good black people but most of them are ‘down’, whatever that means. She said I was pretty and could get a boyfriend easily. She always asks when I'm going to get married but then tells me not to marry early or I'll have problems. I ignored her the entire time instead of getting angry even though my blood was boiling. I started to feel sick to my stomach. I wish I could talk to someone about it but there's no one available to talk to. That's why I hate when people say they will be there for me. Because when ever I need someone, no one is there.
