Nacho Monreal 👏
what's in her mug?

Yesterday, I had a really tough day for a culmination of reasons. I finished my exams Monday night at 9, and I didn't get to sleep until 12:30 (and I was soooo tired, I needed like 10 hrs of sleep to fully recover),but yesterday, I had to wake up at 6:45 (not 10 hrs of sleep) to catch a ride with my mom bcos I had a therapy appointment. My appointment went well, but it left me feeling raw. So, yesterday I was emotionally raw, sleep deprived, and not on my adderall, bcos I ran out.
In the evening, S came over for about two hours, and we just cuddled on the couch and watched Parks and Rec. It was nice, and I def felt better after that.
Today, I slept in til 12, so I'm fully rested, and I'm also back on adderall cos my mom picked it up last night. Sleep effects me soooo much. And being off adderall isn't that big of a deal, but when it's put with exhaustion and emotional vulnerability it ain't great.
Anyways, I'm feeling better now.

In his recent essay “Between the World and Me,” author Ta-Nehisi Coates writes: “Through the windshield I saw the rain coming down in sheets.” Write a poem inspired by the gorgeous conclusion (he was talking about race/racism, which you could choose to do as well).
