Today is 11 years since One Direction became a band!

It’s been a long, long journey, but we are so proud of how far all our boys have come. To Harry, Louis, Liam, Niall & Zayn - you will always have our love and support. ❤️

Today would be a good day to list out the reasons why, after so many years & so many things, I am still a dedicated fan of One Direction.

1. The music

To me the music that 1D have created are genuinely enjoyable. As a 90's kid I have grown up with pop music and the gradual growth in lyrics and music went hand in hand with my age.

2. The boys

Though their personalities have been used as a marketing tool, it in reality did make them more likable and relatable to the fan base. I may not personally know any of the boys, but their principles and behavior has never been one to disappoint.

3. The fans

Today my thoughts on fans have definitely seen a decline. People are bitter and petty which has changed the fan experience for sure. But being a fan, specially a fan of 1D was a rewarding experience. The togetherness, team work and community was a place that everyone felt at home.

And I most definitely must mention the friends I have made an a result of being a fan of 1D. @dfw345 I don't think I can go more than a day without talking to you 😅😅❤

4. The education

I am not ashamed to say that I have been introduced to do many other things that I otherwise would not know of because of association of the boys and the fandom. Other music, sports, movies, history, politics, geography, charity and so much more.

I am of course unable to write every single fact and feeling in this one blog post but this would be a summary.

so today I would like to say,

Thank you for the memories.

Thank you for the friends.
