I wasn't a fan of reading stories when I was in elementary, but my cousins encouraged me to read the pocketbook she and I had read and finished, and that's where I began making reading fiction stories a hobby.

Because I didn't have money to buy pocketbooks, I searched in the app store and discovered the Wattpad app, and this is where the craze began, especially if the story was good.

And I was crazy to read a story I'd been interested till now, and that's why I do not particularly appreciate posting or staying on social media platforms. And it's also sometimes the reason I'm lazy on all of it since I'm spending more time reading.

But sometimes, I get less because I focus more on my school work since it may be difficult for me to complete.

My cousin who was in college began by saying that "Tara swimming para mawala stress sa pag online class." And all of my cousins chatted and formed a group conversation on messenger to communicate, and here we discussed who would attend and agreed that we would all come.

And we spoke about going swimming at gerly's place. Since we were unable to vacation in distant locations regions due to the pandemic. So we made a reservation to when no one was going to swim, which was all well. We also paid down payments. And when our day of swimming came, gerly's place was suddenly told they were going to close right on the day of our swimming.

So we were concerned because we couldn't go forward, and we mightn't obtain our down payments, so my cousin quickly asked help from my aunt to go there where she had to find out why they need to close and refund our down fees.

And we quickly searched for a private resort after we received our down payment because we avoided covid and reached 5:00 pm to discover alternatives since we want a vacation. But, unfortunately, our budget cannot afford the five resorts we found. However, the reservation of other resorts was also fully occupied. And we discovered the A&L hidden farm resort.

After we checked the resort, we noticed it newly open, and it was clean and secure. So we decided to go swimming here to buy the food we needed and suited up our relatives so that we were the first ones to get to the resort immediately.

However, numerous of our cousins, especially in Bataan, did not go as our governor issued an unexpected lockdown for a month in our area. And we almost had a lockdown in the resort since the number of cases of covid was increasing. Therefore, there would be checkpoints in each barangay, so we were worried, but also because we had a reprimand, so we stayed and enjoyed our short vacation.

   If I had all the time in the world, I would apportion it so that I shall live a balanced life. However, I cannot say the same is true if I know that living in this wonderful world has to come to an end.

   Most people would ask to spend their last time with their family, or travel, or eat when informed of their remaining time on earth—i.e. doing something they love and enjoy.

   When I was at the age of seven I picked up my first badminton racket, and the first person I played against was none other than my dad. Soon afterwards, we played every day. I developed not only the skill and experience but also the interest that I now carry up to this very day although I still strive to step up my game.

   TLUCK—the sound a shuttlecock makes as it zooms past the air. It is an easy recognition, together with the distinct TSK the racket makes whilst hitting the ball. I was in grade six when I competed for the first time in a formal competition; district level, together with my partner. After a series of long rallies and hard-fought scores wherein everyone grappled to not let the nose of the ball hit the ground, we won.

   Stumbling down the ground is not an excuse nor should it be a reason to stay down and linger on a negative view of the world, rather, it should be taken as a feeling you wouldn’t ever want to be in—a motivation, to get back up and continue fighting a good fight.

   Junior high school, grade eight I joined the intramurals in our school. It was a fierce battle, non-stop back and forth hurtling of the shuttlecock whilst riding the air. In the end, I won first place, my opponent the championship. Grade nine I was displaced one step down, making me second place and my contender got the championship—the very same player who got the championship back in grade eight.

   Finally, I have reached the tenth grade—the last pigeonhole in junior high school, surely I shall win the championship this time eh? My rival is now a fully-fledged varsity who plays in the school, and for the school. I was an intellectual at the time, in a special class. I managed to climb up the matches to face my long-standing rival, in the championships, again.

   This time all the pressure was on.

   We were both bent over, sweating, with a quite large audience gathered around the court. The whistle has been blown and the shuttlecock has been hit. I barely even caught his shots however I have ascertained his strategy.

   The score was 8-12, him scoring the latter and it was my turn to serve. I served the shuttlecock just so it landed perfectly behind his back but within the court. I tried it several times and I was successful. I managed to get almost ten points on him making the scoreboard 18-16. He was hard-pressed on taking me down because I have discovered his weakness. Although I have exploited one of his play flaws, he still is hitting hard with his smashes. It was down to the last point that shall the dictate the winner. 20-21, again him scoring the latter. This last point shall dictate who the champion will be and it was my turn to serve.

   Due nervousness and a great epiphany struck me hard, I hit the ball uncontrolled and went out the court, he won.

   To this day, I take it the honor was mine to play with some great players although realizing I’ve been at a disadvantage.

   Heartily to this moment, I play to learn and I play to be better. Not solely for the fun nor the fame it brings, but because of the lesson it teaches; plus, it is good for the health if done properly.

The hobby is recognized to be a personal activity that's done for delight, regularly amid one's relaxation time. Pastimes incorporate collecting themed things and objects, locks in in imaginative and imaginative interests, playing sports, or seeking after other beguilements. A list of side interests changes with re-established interface and creating designs, making it different and think creatively.

All of us have a own hobbies in a different ways. We have our own passions and desires, but in my part, I really love to write. When I was a 6th grade student, my friend offered me to download an app called “Wattpad”. This is where it all started why and how I love writing, I started as a reader and that inspires me with the authors I read, thus I did this as my inspiration in my writing. I started in writing different stories, there were times I'm losing hope in writing but my friends were there to support me. As time goes on my writing skills gets better, not only in storytelling but also in writing poetry and having a passion for spoken word poetries.

Because of writing, I am able to express my feelings or regrets in life. I feel relieved every time I write and it becomes my hobby. This has also become my talent, I have used it in various competitions. There is a chance that I won and lose but because of this, my work was used to make a short film in our local (Church of Christ). I also tried to participate in the International Contest in London, United Kingdom. But our lives are not always above, sometimes we're on the ground. I want to prove that in writing, it will lead to my success.
