10SS is a story series that I’ve begun that is... well, exactly what it sounds like. The sequel of the stories from 10 Souls. Have you wondered what happened to the 10 people from the original series after they died? What ended up happening to them in the afterlife? Well, your lucky time has finally arrived. Here, you will find out.

The soul bolts upright, gasping for air. It doesn’t realize yet that you don’t need to breathe in the afterlife. In fact, oxygen doesn’t exist in this plane of existence. Rubbing their head, they stare around them blankly as if looking for something. They seem confused for a moment before they realize where they are again and lay back down, staring up at the vast whiteness above their head.

Where are they?

Why are they here?

Are they supposed to do something? How do they get out of this place?

How long have they been here?

So many thoughts are racing through their head as they lay there, but just as they start to cry out of frustration, a voice clears their throat, making them leap to sit up.

“H-hello?” They stammer, scrambling to their feet and are met with the sight of a skeleton’s face beneath a large red and black cloak. It holds a scythe. So they are dead.

They hold their breath as they wait for instructions on what to do next. The figure remains perfectly still, perfectly silent as it seems to stare straight into their soul. They wait silently, holding their breath now.

Slowly, the bony hand reaches up and they flinch but next thing they know, it’s pointing behind them. They turn to see a door.

Had that been there before? How had they not seen it? They turn to thank the figure but it’s gone.

Swallowing hard and moving slowly, they make their way to the door and slowly creak it open til they are able to peek inside.

And when they do, they gasp.
