Attended an Artists Meetup today, organised by @artartistofficial @udaymicroartist at @sacredearthcafe. It was really nice to meet everyone who attended, there was Live sketching, Open Mic and after the meetup I listened to @soundofsarvam the band play live as well. An afternoon and evening well spent! 𝘼𝙍𝙏𝘼𝙍𝙏𝙄𝙎𝙏 𝙈𝙀𝙀𝙏𝙐𝙋 — Attended an Artist Meetup today, organised by @artartistofficial @udaymicroartist. A nice variety of artists and performers had attended, it was good to meet everybody! GAS Syndrome — When you enter your PIN Number into an ATM Machine many times to purchase camera gear. No I don't have that many copies of the 5D, this is multiplicity shot. 📷 Six photos stacked and blended in Photoshop. There are several things I could have done better, this shot didn't turn out the way I wanted it to. But the technique worked and I was happy about it, so posting it. If someone tries this and improves on it, do tag me. #canon #550d #1018mm #karthikabhiram Swipe for BTS: The tripod was kept on a table, and a 10 kg dumbbell on one side to balance it. I kept some markers as reference to place the camera, but the alignment didn't come out correctly. Also while I had fixed the focus for the first shot and turned off AF for others, I'd neglected to fix exposure, so there was a change between shots. Experiments of the last couple of days! The night of Apr 22-23 was apparently the peak time, to observe the Lyrid Meteor Shower. So for the past two days I've been going upstairs at various times (midnight to 1 AM, 3 to 5 AM, 5:40 to 6 AM), but because of cloudy skies and possibly because of a lot of ambient light, I wasnt able to observe any meteors. However, I tried some long exposure stuff that I haven't done on my camera before. So while I couldn't see (let alone shoot) meteors, I didn't come away empty handed. Here are some pictures from the past couple of nights/early mornings. All but the last two are camera photos, the last two are phone shots. #canon #200d #1018mm #karthikabhiram Short descriptions of the photos: 1,3,5 - Doctor Strange inspired. These are single exposures, I was moving my phone around with the torch switched on. 2 - 6 min exposure, not too many stars visible. 4 - Early morning scene. Due to less pollution, can you see data in the cloud? 6 - 30 seconds exposure, many of the specks there are not actually stars but that's noise. 7 - 15 min exposure. Those streaks are star trails. 8 - #pixel2xl #nightsight photo at 3 AM today, disappointed that there were clouds. 9 - Phone photo again, clear sky, but very few stars visible. 𝙎𝙀𝙇𝙁 𝙄𝙎𝙊𝙇𝘼𝙏𝙄𝙊𝙉 𝙎𝘾𝙀𝙉𝙀𝙎 — How are you all spending the time at home? For me it's a combination of things I anyway like to do, drawing, watching movies, editing photos, Instagramming, exercising. On weekends I'd actually prefer to be at home, which gives me more time to do these things, and my preferred time for movies and art is 1 AM to 4 AM. This image is actually inspired by two things — @vsnu's recent vlog on his YouTube channel on levitation photography, and @zuvamart's recent post about having multiple copies of objects in the same frame.
