This is it folks! Day 100 of my 100 day project! 💯💯💯💯💯💯👏👏👏100/100 a frame houses. I’ve recently become obsessed with aframes - seriously, aren’t they the cutest of houses? Can’t wait to stay in one thru an Airbnb in the near hopeful future. Many of these little houses here were inspired by ones I saw on IG following the #aframe hashtag or from @aframedaily or others tagged on the photo - there are SO many to gaze at and I could have drawn 100 of these cuties! . . . Now for the learning portion of the post. 😄 I am so happy I did this challenge and I really surprised myself that a) I finished and b) I really enjoyed this start to finish and it became one of my favorite parts of each day. Honestly, I dragged out these last 10 because I didn’t want to finish. And, it influenced me so much so that I am thinking how I work a daily purposeful ‘assignment’ drawing into my life. For the past couple years I have pretty much drawn each day, but I realized though this I hadn’t drawn enough every day with purpose or direction. You need a balance of brain dump drawing and purposeful. . . . I think the greatest thing this taught me was patience. I am a VERY impatient person, so to do this daily practice over 100+ days forced me to slow down and think through what I want to do with some of these and where do I want my work to go. It’s been so great. And NOW the real work begins making some of these into something tangible. Pieces of patterns need to become ACTUAL patterns! Day one starts Monday 😂 . . . . Sea turtles! 97/100! We were in Florida last week and going to the @floridaoceanographic society down the street from my parents and I got to visit with their beautiful rescue turtles. Day 96/100 - lollipops! Someone suggested candy and man you could do a whole 100 days on that! Flip thru to see some different color ways. 95/100! Humpback whales. 🐋 thank you @phillustrations for the reco! I love whales truly and deeply. Fun fact, after watching voyage of the mimi (who remembers that show here!?) I really wanted to be a marine biologist. And have never stopped loving these beautiful majestic creatures. Day 92/100 of the 100 day project. These were SO fun to do. Thank you @occasionette / @saravillari for the reco!! My dad I *think* had this camera when I was little and I was kinda obsessed about it, it had a cool camera strap too. I want to order one from eBay just to have on my shelf.
