With Just A Kiss

If you had told me even just a year ago that I would have been part of a whirlwind romance, I would have said that you were absolutely crazy. Now after meeting Emmett and falling in love with him, I couldn’t imagine my life being any different. 

Everything about our wedding was absolutely perfect. From the quaint chapel venue to all of our amazingly supportive guests to Emmett’s absolutely beautiful wedding vows. I never wanted the night to end. 

Of course when the night did end... Let’s just say it was worth the wait. 

Always By My Side

It is always hard to say goodbye to someone who has been through your side through everything. While I knew that Sasha wouldn’t stay alive forever, I had always thought that she would have been able to be around for longer. I will always remember her and she will always be in my heart.

He Asked, I Said Yes!

I thought that my life could never get anymore perfect. I had the most amazing boyfriend. My farm was thriving. Sasha was happy and growing smarter every single day. Of course, Emmett had to find a way to make it even better. As the end of summer drew to a close, Emmett asked me to join him on one last adventure date. He took me to the most romantic spot, a lighthouse. Both the lighthouse and the view were just amazing. I never wanted to leave. 

Emmett even managed to sneak us up to the top of the lighthouse which had a perfect picture view of the bay. When we got to the top of the lighthouse, Emmett pulled me over to the edge and got down on one knee. I couldn’t believe it. He told me how much he loved me and then asked me to become his wife. Of course, I said, “Yes!” 

So This Is Love...

I never would have imagined that I would end up falling head over heels in love with Emmett but it was undeniable. That is exactly what was happening. Emmet is everything I could have ever asked for. Anything I ever need, he is there to help with. He makes me laugh. He makes me laugh. He would do absolutely anything for me. 

Emmett took me on the perfect first date. We went to a Romance Festival. It could not have been anymore romantic. We drank, we danced, we talked, we did karaoke. We even talked to a Romance Guru. I felt like I would be blushing for days after he told me that my true love was closer than I may think. To top off the most perfect night, Emmett finally asked me to be his girlfriend and of course I said, “Yes!” 

Forever In Our Hearts

It is always difficult when a parent passes away and that was no exception for Emmett. His mother was everything to him and until he moved in with me, he lived with her. With Geeta dying shortly after him moving out, Emmett was crushed. He felt like it was all his fault. If he had just stayed or if he had let her move in with us, she might still be alive. Thankfully, I was there to help him get through his grief. I tried to show him how none of it was his fault and helped him to remember her without regrets. Death is always difficult but when you have someone there by your side, someone you care for and who cares for you, it can make it a lot easier.

Turning My House Into Our Home

They say you shouldn’t ever move in with your friends but moving in with your best friend can be one of the best decisions you ever make. After spending almost every minute together every single day, Emmett and I decided that it would just make sense to move in together. 

With every move there comes an adjustment period and in this move, boy were there some adjustments needed. Not between Emmett and I but between Emmett and Sasha. Sasha knows that it is her duty to protect me from any dangers and after many, many walks and treats, Emmet was finally able to convince her that he was not one. 

From that moment on we have been able to celebrate our little family. Family dinners. Celebrating holidays. Movie nights. Gardening together. Fishing together. Walk on the beach. Nothing could be more perfect. 

The Beginning Of Our Story

You never know when someone is going to come into your life and just flip everything upside down. For me, that person is Emmett. He make me smile. He makes me laugh. He is the only person I ever want to be around. He is a complete weirdo but who else is going to love the outdoors as much as I do. I mean who else but a weirdo would would invite me to meet their mother the day after we met. He is there for every moment, even if all we are doing is arguing over whether or not I should get a chair at a flea market. 

You Had Me At Woof

From love at first sight to the first time playing in the bubbles to learning to roll over, there is no greater love than the love between a girl and her pup. While on a long walk on the beach, I came across the most gorgeous puppy in the world. She was shy at first but I was determined. After many pets (and probably one too many treats) a forever love was formed. Welcome to the family, Sasha!
