On blockages:
There are blocks that are unseen until you engage with life with a pure intention.
Then they begin to bubble up and surface.
If you are quiet and observant enough, they will slowly, slowly appear.
Who knows where these blocks originated but they are there.
Unknown until you engage. Engage with life and it will heal you.
On creating:
Sometimes, actually no always, we must detach from the fruits of our labor.
What does this even mean though?
If you try to fit something that is round into a cylindrical tube you will fail.
Much like trying to mold the unknown into formats that you’ve seen before.
Originality is beautiful, being unique is beautiful.
So why do we all try to be the same?
On freedom:
Choose freedom every single time and never forget your roots.
The living world of plants is directly linked to originality.
Uniqueness.
No two flowers are the same, no two bumblebees fly the same exact path.
How do thoughts flow.
Doubts.
Doubts block.
Doubting.
Listen to your deepest inner critic.
That’s the voice that is holding you back.
Holding you back from what?
Living a life that opens you up to experience beauty and bliss.
The Critic talks the loudest when you are close to something beautiful.
Release.

This post was inspired by a beautiful Pride of Madeira plant that I saw while walking in Golden Gate Park here in San Francisco, California. A plant being who is native to the island where my ancestors are from. An island that my grandfather wrote and sang songs to, that my family celebrated and honored by way of folkloric dancing. Madeira, known as La Perla del Atlantico (Pearl of the Atlantic), the name of my grandfathers beloved traveling folkloric dancing group. The island that nourished generations before me. A connection to my past right here in my present — transcendence. The text came from notes while listening to the book “The Surrender Experiment” by Michael Singer (same guy that wrote Untethered Soul). The Audiobook is read by the author and is amazing. Very inspiring to listen to a person who has dedicated his life to go deeper into the unknown and has chosen surrender to the flow of life in order to live a life built FOR him and not BY him. A much richer way to live.
