Gathering my fabrics for my next project. I'm going to attempt the #100blocks100days this year. Last year I found about this too late. I was so bummed. This year I'm trying to talk my mom into doing it with me. With retirement and moving she seems to be at a lack of what to do with her time, so I thought this would be a great way to try to get her involved in an online quilting experience. My goal is to make bed spreads for my boys room and practice my fussy cutting skills. I know it doesn't start until May 7th but with three kids and a full time job and summer home improvement projects I felt I needed to try to get ahead of the curve. I'm obsessed with stretching my fabric before I cut and piece however looking at these piles has me procrastinating. I love sewing but I have such a love/hate relationship with all the ironing.
100 days 100 blocks
Wow! I can’t believe I managed to sew and post 100 blocks in 100 days.
For the past couple of months I have been sewing along with Angie (of Gnome Angel), Lisa (of Sweet Little Pretties) and Raylee (of Sunflower Quilting) for a Tula Pink City Sampler Instagram sew-along. The aim of this sew-along was to sew a block a day for 100 days starting on 17 August. I made it to the finish line last week and thought I would share my 100 blocks. I used all Tula Pink prints from her Acacia, Elizabeth, Eden, Moonshine, Foxfield, True Colors and Slow & Steady collections.

I had a great time sewing along with hundreds of other people and am already missing seeing all the pretty block posts each day. I’m hoping I can get these blocks turned into a quilt sometime soon.
