     It's not often that I branch out from my normal reading and I really should. Who knew comics could have such deep thoughts? Turns out they're not just for kids. Still holding firm to the idea that anything with words is worth reading.

     This was just a sample of a comic. Had a kid and a dinosaur talking about how the dinosaur's parents immigrated through Ellis Island. At one point, the kid stops him and asks:

     "Didn't anyone notice they were dinosaurs?"

     To which the dinosaur replies:

     "Sometimes, people miss what's standing right in front of their faces."

     This is why I don't care if it's a book for a fucking three year old, you find little things like that in there. Which is an incredible true statement.

     I like details. Details are important. But you have to pay attention to everything. Knowing more than just what's right in front of your face is important--but if you spend so much time hyper focused, you're going to miss the big picture.

     Focus too much on the process or task at hand and you're going to miss the fact that there's a dinosaur standing in front of you.
