September 25-30, 2012

Tuesday. Went to my classes then had Kogi after since the Kogi truck was at school! I've been craving it too so it was pretty good. Went to Lemonade with Der after. I was craving that too! LOL shopped around Old Town. Got my dress for Michael's party! Went back to school and just chilled there. Went to the rush event, info night. Then went to the fundraiser at Just Grillin' afterwards. Then went home.

Wednesday. MICHAEL'S BIRTHDAY! (: Went to CVS to get cash. Then went to class. Stayed at school until the rush event. Chilled at the Pit. Went to the rush event, bowling. Got Michael cupcakes and surprised him when he got there! Attempted to play truth or dare but failed. Chill night. I had gifts waiting for me when I got home.

Thursday. MY BIRTHDAY! :D Ew, I'm 19. But anyway, went to my classes. Then Der took me out for lunch at the Cheesecake Factory. It was cute (: He made me a picture frame and Michael named a star after me! But yeah, went back to school. Rush event. BBQ & juice pong at Gangsta's Paradise. Tried watching Glee but got distracted. Quick boba run with Ash, Garrett, and Jing. Went back and people started leaving. Took some shots then picked up Der. Went to McD's to pee. Then went to Tim's house. Got lifted, it's been a while. Gooood day (:

Friday. Felt super lazy and tired when I woke up. Got ready and went to Mel's house and she curled my hair. Went to Target then headed to Michael's party! And it was definitely poppin! Oh my. Crazy night. Can't wait to see the pictures LOL

Saturday. Felt all lazy again in the moanin'. Just stayed home then got ready. Picked up Der from the gym and got boba from Tea Brick. Dropped him back home then went to Gangsta's Paradise. Then headed to Horror Nights! I was scared shitless but I survived! Hella tired towards the end of the night. It was pretty fun tho!

In Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, Oskar Schell is normally seen wearing white clothing. Most of the characters in the novel already know this but so far we have no idea as to why that is. However we can make certain guesses based around his personality. Oskar is a pacifist, something a lot of people in this world are not. He believes in logic over fighting and for this, like certain tv programs—let’s just assume white stands for “good”. White can also be associated with innocence. While his intellect is outstanding, when you get down to it, he’s still a kid. There is still that naivety or goodness he holds to people, much like a child would look at the world and see the wonder. He gives keys out to people he believes he can trust, he recognizes the homeless man that most people barely acknowledge, and near the beginning he had never lied to his mother before.

Now let’s take this into a scientific approach, when dealing with light—white is the combination of all colors. And if we keep stretching, we might be able to apply this to Oskar as well, for he is a combination of all the people around him. Whether it be by their love, their knowledge of something, secrets to their past, or even a trait they might share. They help form him into the bright being he is and they also help him see things in a clearer manner.

Anyways.

I think I’ll just stop speculating now though (it’s getting a bit lengthy and I’m starting to ramble) but just two more things:
