There is a lot of influence, there is a lot of opinion around an artist, you know, from record label, from management, from everyone, from different producers. And everyone has their own opinion of what you should be as an artist. This experience has shown me that you just gotta be strong willed, and kinda put your foot down and say 'This is who I wanna be'.

'Kill My Mind' is like the pinnacle of where I wanna be sonically, you know, naturally with different tempos and different feels. There'll be a bit of differences there, but this is really a great advert for the album as fas as I'm concerned. [...] I think this is the biggest surprise (on the album) because I deliberately wanted this first statement of intent, really, of this is where I wanna be, this is who I wanna be. And there's definitely songs on the album that fit in line with this. But, in terms of the most like kind of shocking, or the statement, that's the single.
