First Experience w/CHAMPS
Every year, my company has a competition where members from each store get together, create a cheer and do a play. You are to show your judges how we’re supposed to handle customer complaints, procedures for packing, procedures for taking order and delivering the order. Whoever does best in their position gets to go to Singapore to compete internationally. All expenses paid for all you need is your pocket money.
At the beginning, I was an alternate. Towards the end, I became a player. We started practicing 2 and a half weeks before the competition. From 7/8-10AM. We bonded so much that we became a family and considered each other sis, bro, mom, dad. lol. due to the fact that we would carpool to activities together, do a lot of together things. HA. family picture even. it was difficult getting everyone together to practice some days but we didn’t just sit around and wait. we helped each other, critiqued, and practiced.
on the day of my coach literally had no words for how we performed. KC was proud. although, i missed a few major key points (i was shaking soooooo bad) i’d like to think i did well for a first time. my other teammates did so great as well.
after the competition, I forgot I had to work night shift. Alongside KEA, but yanno being the fam we are. they tried to find people to work for us so we can go out after the comp. unfortunately, there was no strong drive thru person available for a few hours, so I had to be the one to work. I was the only one in my team that had to work a few hours. AND OMG KC was like ok joy, go work, we’ll wait for you here. OMG they really really waited for me in the parking lot!! 2 hours waiting. after a long day of competition preparation and being hungry..they didn’t even hesitate to reschedule. they just waited for me. So I worked a 2 hour shift and when the dude who was supposed to work for me came back, I clocked out, checked outside..they were still in the same area I saw them last. JD said “I chewed 6 betelnuts waiting for you!!” LOL then we went out to eat, bonded, conversed..from 11AM-11PM. Finally had a night out.
This, hands down, is one of the greatest experiences. Such a great team. Great bunch of people.
Another year, another full of blessings from God. I'm ready for another year of my existence. Tuloy pa rin ang hamon ng buhay ko! Thank you po sa lahat ng nakaalala at bumati! 😊😘😇💪 #07242016 #birthdaygirl #goodnightpost (at Tanauan, Batangas, Philippines)
