For World Health Day, Harry Styles has released a t-shirt with proceeds going to the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for UN Foundation's World Health Organization.
Where there’s a cause, there’s Harry Styles.
The 26-year-old performer has a long history of giving back, including donating $1.2 million to 62 different charities — ranging from childhood cancer foundations to food banks — around the globe during his debut solo concert tour with 89 sold-out shows from 2017 to 2018.
And today for World Health Day, the British singer has released a new t-shirt, with proceeds benefiting the World Health Organization’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund, in conjunction with the UN Foundation.
“In times like these, it is more important than ever to remember the power of people,” Styles said in a release. “If you are able to help, please donate where you can. 100% of the profits of this t-shirt will go towards fighting COVID-19. Stay home, self-isolate, and protect each other. TPWK.” (The final letters stand for “Treat People With Kindness,” one of the songs off of his 2019 album Fine Line.)
The shirt, which reads “Stay Home. Stay Safe. Protect Each Other,” on the front and “This T-shirt Fights COVID-19. Treat People With Kindness,” on the back, is available for a limited time on his site for $26.
Styles had previously announced on March 25 that the European leg of his Love on Tour concert tour would be rescheduled for 2021. “Anyone who knows me, knows that performing has always been my favorite part of working in music,” he tweeted. “However, during times like these, the safety and protection of touring crew, fans, and everyone else around the world is an immediate priority.”
He added: “For the safety of yourself and others, please self-isolate. We’re all in this together. I can’t wait to see you out on the road as soon as it’s safe to do so. Until then, treat people with kindness.”
While in isolation, the former One Direction singer has also managed to achieve a new record. His single “Adore You” became his first No. 1 on Billboard’s Pop Songs radio airplay, for the week dated April 11. That makes him the fourth member of the group, which is now on hiatus, to achieve that recognition with Liam Payne earning the mark with “Strip That Down” in 2017, Niall Horan with “Slow Hands” in 2017 and former group member Zayn Malik with “Pillowtalk” in 2016.Â
