I wondered and waited only to be left feeling more jaded.

No friend, not even a foe, to remind me I'm not entirely alone. So I lay back down and start all over, only to be left with a bad sleep deprivation hangover. Because sleep is fickle with me but I guess at least the nightmares mean I have slept. I just always thought I'd have someone there on the rare occasion it was the reason I wept.
