a small flight SMP ficlet:

The passed out patients have been cured and were all now awake. Everyone seemed normal and were going around with their powers here and there since their mana has not been used in a while.

wanted to get this out before next session

summary: Abolish falls into a hole. Pearl goes looking for him, and unfortunately, Owen is in the woods.

Cherri's tears fell from her face as she confronted Katie. "Katie...How could you?"

Tears pricked at the eyes of the knight as she tried to compose herself and make sense to the princess of what she did. "It was ordered by my king...I thought that if I didn't follow through with my order, I would be breaking my oath!"

"No..." Cherri felt a red hot burning anger boiling in her blood. "Your oath, was to protect this kingdom...WHICH YOU FAILED TO DO!"

Suddenly, a bright flash of light overcame the princess. It was red and orange and it formed itself into a ball around Cherri's eye and a coiling rope around her left arm. Without even thinking, the princess lifted the arm, aiming it at the knight, her friend, her companion.

The moment that Cherri took the shot was the moment she realized she had made a huge mistake.

It was a good thing that they were near a river, for Katie fell into the water before she could burn any further.

Not before she screamed as if her very soul was being taken from her by the engulfing fire.

"PRINCESS!" Apokuna ran over to the girl who now clutched her unconscious and wet friend. Katie's hair was partly burned off in the front at the ends, it was nothing that a haircut couldn't fix. The rest of her was much worse though. Burns showed themselves on her arms and legs. Apo noticed a really bad one around her neck that crept it's way up to her chin towards her face, only destroying it's edges by pure luck. The worst wound however was center in the chest where a large hole of metal most likely melted it way to the skin underneath.
