Before Connor my longest relationship was with a boy I really dearly loved and genuinely thought I'd spend forever with.  We lasted 5 months before he left me.  One year ago yesterday (Nov 2nd, 2013) I met Connor, and my life changed.  I have never met anyone so honest and raw and presented exactly who he is.  Yesterday we celebrated our one year anniversary and I can't say I've ever been happier or loved anyone more.  I know it's real because I've never put someone's happiness so far before my own before.  I give him everything he asks because I know he deserves it and I just want him to have everything.  

It's really frightening to me, spending a full 365 days with someone.  Together we've seen the leaves change, snow fall, flowers bloom, and life grow.  We've seen all of the holidays together, our birthday's, everyone's birthdays.  I've seen him change jobs, houses, friends, towns.  He's seen me be promoted, finish my first year of university, and grow.  I think I can honestly say I see my future with Connor.  I love him so much, and we take everything day-by-day.  We focus on what we're doing now, not what we want to be doing 5 years from now.  We're realistic. He makes me feel grown up in the best way.  

I can't say in this past year either of us have been perfect to each other, we've both made mistakes, and hurt each other.  We've gotten so frustrated we've talked about breaking up, but when we calm down it's not an option.  I think he brings out the best in me.  Like, when I'm with him I'm always calm, and think logically and I'm happy.  I'm responsible, I'm realistic, I don't jump to conclusions or make rash decisions.  I like how he motivates me in life.  Not to do better in school, or work out and eat healthy, but in life.  Like to be mature and rational, and be an honest, decent human being.
