#..red tape

the library was silent, almost dark at this hour. it was unsettling and elodie didn’t like it. 

she can’t say she was all too fond of the tiny little room she was stuck in either, books spread out in front of her, work only half done. she hated studying, even subjects she deemed worth her time, she hated it. it was all so tedious and boring and just... not fun. 

even if she was stuck with with someone she could consider fun, sort of. fun to bait along and pit against her brother, fun in a way that she was interested in finding out. 

“do you think they’ll lock us in here?” she muses, chin pillowed in her arms as she glances up at the other. it had been a few hours, their agreement to study holding strong. “that would be fun, right?” although, she was feeling a bit hungry so maybe not.
