Holic Rei 65
I don't have much to comment, but as I imagined there are four colored pages this time, two of which are the chapter cover with Watanuki and Doumeki. In one of those colored pages we can see Momo/Seo-tan, and that made me really happy. 😊Although she's depicted in the color palette typical of Holic, where colors are muted and shadows on the skin take a light purple tone, her eyes are always that tone of magenta (mixed with violet, here) and her hair still got the beautiful white-light blue gradation she had in Clear Card. Good to know the lining of the black side of her neck is red, but I wish we could see her entire outfit...
The other thing that stands out in this chapter is the introduction of another legendary creature: the Fuuri, or rather, the Fengli. There's the kanji for "raccoon dog" in the Japanese version of the name, but it seems it's more accurate to describe it as a wildcat. As per Wikipedia, interesting bit to mention is how this creature usually carries a "hunting wand" with which it can immobilize its preys. We don't see its shape yet but Watanuki already knows what it is. It seems it's also an "old acquaintance", as a fuuri was also among the creatures that were after his eye back in the OG Holic (and Wata makes quite a face when he hears that Momo/Seo-tan knows about that).
It's kind of fun to see Momo commenting neutrally on the events happening, showing her impartiality imposed by her role, but at the same time giving a tiny bit of assistance with her explanations. She looks more relaxed compared to the last time we saw her in the other series...will Watanuki manage to make her cry at the end of this (as we know that she isn't really as "indifferent" as she seems) or will that record belong to Kaito? :)
