Today k&i got in trouble bc (AT 11) a nurse wanted to do some midnight med passes but she couldn't since we were "taking so long" in report that she had to answer a call light. And we were like, the fuck? That's a WHOLE HOUR early? ??? ?????,????? Am I the only one not getting that? Also there were TWO of us and report is sometimes A LOT of shit so like, yeah, behaviors HAVE TO BE PASSED ON so someone doesn't get hurt or something. But I guess that's not okay? And she said she wasn't going to get in trouble anymore for us not doing our job, even though she FINALLY helped a little today, but kendra and I LITERALLY get pulled aside any time something goes wrong and we get talked to? But she wasn't going to get written up? For doing HER JOB and helping out when we're short and super tired and have to do it all again tomorrow? God. It pissed me off a little. And then she was like "but you guys have SO MUCH TO DO" and "some of these lights go off for pretty much nothing" and "it really was nice to help out" but she's going to quit if she got in trouble for not answering lights? I just. Some nurses just blow my mind. And she's gonna work 3 days a week with us now and that's going to suck if she keeps doing stuff like this. Bc she's all "uhhh, this is how u do ur job" and I'm like "actually, if I do that, I'll have this resident pissed at everything that moves for the next 6 hours. Also, that's not even close to a good approach on anyone except 2 ppl on this 40~ person floor." Then she goes "oh. Well, everyone's different" as if I don't KNOW each resident resopnds to shit in different ways.
