why am i drawing shattered worlds content in 2019

SOMETIMES  IT  WAS  TOO  MUCH  TO  HANDLE .   the  more  maeve  drowned  herself  in  bottles  of  whiskey ,   vodka ,    &   whatever  else  she  could  find ,   the  more  vulnerable  she  became ,   especially  here  in  this  stupid  mansion  she  once  was  forced  to  call  home .   it  wasn’t  often  that  maeve  fell  to  pieces ,   but  it  seemed  like  one  bad  thing  after  another .   for  the  most  part ,   she  remained  hopeful  that  they  could  beat  this  thing .   staying  strong ,   making  jokes ,   meticulously  planning ,   acting  as  the  good  sister .   it  all  came  crashing  down  from  one  encounter  with  reggie .   with  all  of  her  accomplishments ,   all  of  her  powers ,   she  was  still  a  letdown .   perhaps  it’s  her  attitude  towards  the  academy ,   getting  far  away  from  them ,   or  not  using  her  powers  as  necessary .   whatever  it  was ,   she  was  still  a  failure  in  their  fathers  eyes .   all  the  experimenting ,   the  poking   &   proding ,   all  came  back  to  her .   it  takes  a  lot  to  break  the  otherwise  strong  woman ,   but  her  father  seemed  to  be  the  one  thing  that  got  to  her  without  a  fighting  chance .   the  blonde  slams  his  door  shut  behind  her ,   rattling  the  wall  before  rushing  to  her  bedroom .   her  breath  hitches  in  her  throat ,   all  the  while  hiding  her  face   &   keeping  her  head  down .   without  time  to  think  about  it ,   the  weather  outside  turns  dark   &   gloomy   ---   rain  crashes  down  on  a  rather  bright   &   sunny  day .   it’s  the  one  thing  she  could  do  without  causing  any  damage  to  anyone  or  anything .   bumping  into  the  other  was  a  mistake  she  was  not  ready  to  deal  with .   ‘   i  watched  too  much  grey’s  anatomy ,   ’   she  lies ,   her  voice  sounding  shakier  than  ever .   ‘   it’s  all  good .   ’
