I'm just thinking about why dots and boxes isn't seen as a bigger deal.
Like, why is chess such a massive ordeal and seen as a great indicator of someone's intelligence but dots and boxes isn't? The game is so much easier to learn and takes so much less time to play than chess and isn't nearly as expensive to play, you just need a piece of paper and a pen (preferably two pens but it's perfectly playable with one).
Why are there not international divisions and leagues across the world? Why is it that this game that everyone can play is not played by everyone? It's a great way to learn strategy and just keeps getting more advanced the deeper you get into it.
