It had always been a childhood dream of Cedricâs to take over the throne - or a throne if not Enchanciaâs. Being born into a life of forced servitude was something that he had grown to detest as the years passed. The prospect of ruling alongside the king as a respected advisor had become nothing more than something used to describe his position - without him ever being called upon for outside meager tasks. It had been apparent that heâd never be treated as he should since his childhood.  Perhaps thatâs why the temptations the Amulet of Avalor seduced him with were enough to coax him into rebelling against his employer. Afterall - what was there to lose? Outside disappointing perhaps one person in particular. It didnât matter to him anymore, however, as he had finally figured out a solution to the curses that had been plaguing his advancements for the past couple of years. The two-fold law of the amulet would no longer apply to him.Despite his grandiose plotting, the takeover was rather simple and uneventful. All he had done was banish the royal family with the aid of a hex. A display of his newfound power was enough to have him titled as the new King. It was far simpler than he could have ever possibly imagined. Finally, Enchancia would rightfully be ruled by somebody of magic. While there had obviously been protest throughout the kingdom, Cedric cared little for the complaints of the peasantry. Those who opposed him were silenced - literally through magic. Despite his childish mannerisms and short temper, however, many were surprised at how blood had rarely been shed since his ascension even towards those who defied him. The kingdom somehow remained peaceful and maintained decent relations with the surrounding kingdoms, although many consider it to be the work of those he had hired to be on his council. With a sorcerer at the helm of the kingdom, Enchancia had begun to flourish in one particular aspect that none had expected - all forms of magic were now freely able to be studied and practice...even those that had been forbidden for what many considered good reasoning. They say it was because of the new Kingâs desire for dark magic himself, yet Cedric had remained elusive to all but his court to keep the rumors at bay.
