the great subsysening of 2026: they were always there

theres something devastatingly lonely about knowing how close knit and happy and Aware of eachother the system used to be when we were at such a low point. compared to now where were so divided and unaware and disconnected from each other but we're much more functional overall. so many folks have fused and despite knowing i carry them with me its crushingly lonely. im not allowed to miss the past because of how Bad it was for us but i still miss. gestures. everyone. despite the fact that they were only there because we were barely holding on. it makes me want to get worse so they'll come back. i hate being this patchwork of corpses and old memories and half-decomposed identities of all my old friends who aren't needed anymore. i know im them but i wish i wasnt. i wish we were still separate and able to talk freely and constantly posting and chatting and having fun with our friends. i miss them all
